POTTS, Ruth Emma – of Clio, age 99, died Friday, June 8, 2012. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 520 Butler in Clio. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. Burial at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 5-9PM and at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until time of services at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church.
Ruth was born August 7, 1912 in Sebewaing, MI to the late Ernst and Louise (Pommerenke) Reinhold. She married John Potts on June 19, 1942. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1984. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
Surviving are: daughters, Carol Fouchea of Burt, Diane (Rick) Berry of Clio; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: a son, John C. Potts in 1970; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Hatem Ataya, Mary, Barb and Lisa of Home & Hospice Advantage and to all the staff at Birchwood Meadows for their loving care of our mother.
