Filpansick, Corbin C. – of Clio, age 17, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, September 26, 2011 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. Burial in West Vienna Cemetery. Friends may call at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday from 1-8 PM and Monday at the church from 10 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family which will be donated to a charity in Corbin’s name.
Corbin was born February 2, 1994 in Flint, Michigan to Thomas Filpansick and Julie Murphy. He was a lifelong resident of Clio and was in his Senior year in high school. Corbin loved music and his bass guitar.
Surviving are: Parents: Julie (Chad) Barnes of Clio and Tom (Shannon) Filpansick of Clio. 2 brothers: Aidan Barnes and Matthew Moran. Sister: Alexa Moran. Grandparents: Bob (Karen) Murphy, Darlene Barnes, Tom (Debbie) Filpansick and Paul (Pam) Selvidge. Great grandparents: Helen Filpansick, Roy Martin, Neta Keely, Fran Ross and Norma Key. Uncles and Aunts: Jason (Lindy) Murphy, Steve (Kasey) Filpansick and Holly Selvidge. Cousins: Dylan, Taryn, Katelynn and Reagan. Many other family members and friends who loved Corbin very much.
