LARKE, Charlotte Ann (Meder) – Of Fenton, age 77, died Sunday, February 24, 2013.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jacquie Patt officiating.
Visitation 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Entombment at Tyrone Memory Gardens.
Charlotte was born in Flint, Michigan on January 25, 1936, daughter of the late Henry Meder and Carmen O'Dell and was a resident of Flint most of her life.
Charlotte received a Bachelor of Arts from Wayne State University, Masters of Arts from Eastern Michigan University and a Masters in Mathematics-Teaching from Illinois Wesleyan University.
She was also a member of the Fenton Moose Lodge.
Charlotte began her teaching career at Lowell Middle School and retired from Flint Southwestern Academy in 1995, after 35 years.
Surviving are daughter, Kelly (Larke) and husband Christopher Moore;
granddaughter, Riley Carmen Moore;
many special cousins, including Linda and Darl Gorder, Harold and Berv Jones and many close friends.
As her friends and family will tell you, Char lived life to the fullest, always on the go with a project in her mind. She was a fighter, surviving 11 years after receiving a lung transplant. She was a great friend to many and was always the life of the party.
