Timothy M. Latimer, age 53, of Clio, died May 27, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lansing, October 1, 1959 the son of Maurice and Shirley (Mollenkopf) Latimer. He married Annette J. Fisher on October 15, 1988 in Flint where they resided until moving to Clio eight years ago.

Tim was a pipefitter and welder with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 370 in Flint for 35 years retiring in December of 2012. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and canoeing and was a member of the National Camping and Hiking Association. He also loved to hunt and he traveled to many states to hunt big game. He also loved to fish, especially with the grandchildren in the stream behind his home. He enjoyed riding his Harley and auto racing where he had been involved as part of the pit crew for members of his family who raced. Tim had a desire to fly airplanes and was able to complete the training courses and had occasion to once fly a friend’s plane. Tim was always willing to lend a helping had to anyone that needed his help. He had a talent for figuring out problems and the ability to fix them.

Tim was a proud and active member of Montrose Masonic Lodge #428 F. & A.M. where he served Past Master in 2009. He was also a Shriner with Elf Khurafeh Shrine Center A.A.O.N.M.S. and a 32° Scottish Rite Mason in the Valley of Bay City.

Surviving are his wife, Annette; daughter, Joie (Sameer) Syal of Windsor, Canada; son, Justin (Tammi) Latimer of Canton, OH; three grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia Syal and Gavin Latimer; father, Maurice (Larcia) Latimer of Grand Blanc; four brothers; two sisters; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Colleen Counelis of Mt. Morris; father-in-law, Dallas (Kay) Fisher of Burton and a large family of other in-laws.

Preceding him in death were his mother and step-father, Shirley and Richard Lambert; grandson, Jared Sandberg and an infant sister, Rebecca.

Donations in Tim’s memory may be made to the family for charities to be determined later.
