HICKS, Ronald L. – Of Flint Township, age 73, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Chaplain Glenn W. Evans officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 12-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ronald was born in Ashville, Alabama on November 24, 1939 and was a resident of the Flint area most of his life.
On May of 1983 he married Carol Bobb.
He loved to play golf; trips to the Casino and taking color trips in the fall up North.
Mr. Hicks was in Skilled Trades at Metal Fab for over 30 years, retiring in 2007.
Surviving are wife, Carol;
two children, Jeffrey (DonaJi) and Lorinda Lee Hafiz;
two step-children, Mark Bobb and Darcia Bobb;
three grandchildren, Jessica, Angela and Joshua;
sister, Georgia Hicks;
brother, Chris (Sandy) Hicks;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Christopher and Ella Hicks and sister, Billie J. Stuart.
