PRESCOTT, Shirley Jeanette (Bonner) – of Davison, MI, age 82, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Monday, February 19, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Ron Sharpe, II officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Monday, February 19, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Flint Church of the Nazarene, in Shirley’s memory.
Shirley was born in Flint, MI on June 27, 1935, daughter of the late Edith (Story) Mayes. She married James Edward Prescott on December 8, 1951 in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death on November 24, 2011. Shirley retired from AC Spark Plug on December 31, 1999 after 27 years of service. She was a member of the East Flint Church of the Nazarene. Shirley enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, solving puzzles, knitting, crocheting, swimming, dancing, singing and family reunions on Christmas Eve.
Shirley is survived by 5 children, Bonnie (David) Aikman, Mark (Daphne) Prescott, James Spencer (Tammera) Prescott, Dennis (Christine) Prescott and Eugene (Angela) Prescott; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Valda Shock; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by 1 great-grandson and 3 brothers.
