Adelberg, Rita E. – of Maple Grove Twp., died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at her residence. She was 68 years of age.
Rita was born September 26, 1951 in Saginaw to the late Paul and Elizabeth (Finn) Amman and was a lifelong resident of Maple Grove. Rita was a 1969 graduate of St. Michael Catholic School. She was united in marriage to Tomas Adelberg on September 30, 1972. Mrs. Adelberg had been employed at Hehr Mfg., Proffitt Masters then retired from Wirt Stone Dock. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Rita enjoyed baking, spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are: Husband, Tom; Children: Greg (Cindy) Adelberg, Brian (Ashlee) Adelberg, all of Montrose, Jason (Roni) Adelberg of Chesaning; Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Grace, Grant, Paige, Sutton and Sawyer; Siblings: Sue (Gary) Hobson of Fife Lake, Connie (Randy) Frost of AZ, Monica Carr of Birch Run, Gilbert (Terri) Amman of Brant, Teresa Stastny of VA, Marty (Julie) Amman of Chesaning, Paula (Rob) Kopchitz of Chesaning, John (Maureen) Amman of NY, Lori (Mike) Brady of St. Johns, Mike Amman of WA; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: brother Victor Amman; sister Bridgette Amman; 2 brothers-in-law, Frank Stastny and Chuck Carr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove, with Fr. John Cotter celebrant. Inurnment will be at a later date in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Sunday from 1-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until time of Mass on Monday at the church. A Vigil for the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions in her memory may be made to Guardian Angels.
