VANSANT, Doris E. – Of Flint, age 87, died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Comfort Care Senior Living.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Chaplain Goodman L. Cox officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Salvation Army or Wounded Warriors.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Doris was born in Birmingham, England on October 20, 1927, the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Fisher) Weale.
On November 25, 1950 she married Frank Vansant in Windsor Ontario and they were married 64 years and 7 months.
She worked in the Candy Department at Sears for 26 years, retiring in 1987.
She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are husband, Frank;
two children, Martin (Cheryl) and
Debbie Tondreau;
7 grandchildren;
5 great-grandchildren;
one sister, Winnie Farquharson; many nieces and nephews.
