DUNN, Mary Ann - Of Flint, age 94, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at Rosehaven Manor.
A Memorial Service will be held 12 Noon, Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation 11am Friday until the service at the funeral home.
Mary Ann was born in Dunstan on Tyne, England on May 22, 1919, and moved to Canada at age six. She married Robert John Dunn on November 29, 1941 and moved to the U.S. when her husband entered the service during World War II. Along with her husband, who worked for GM overseas, Mary Ann then lived in Portugal, Venezuela, Mexico City and the Congo and traveled the rest of the world. Upon the death of her husband, she moved to Flint where she was a volunteer at McLaren Hospital and a member of various organizations, including the Garland Street Literary Club. She loved to read, paint, crochet and play the piano.
Mary Ann is survived by daughters, Marianne Dunn, Kathleen McKamie and husband, Bob;
grandchildren, Doug Gill, Leslie (Daryl) Martin, David (Beth) Wascha, Stephanie Wascha, Scott (Linda) Wascha;
step-grandchildren, Nicole Brzezinski and Jennifer Rankin (Kelley);
and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and son, Michael.
