Green, Lillian age 88, of Flushing, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Heartland-Fostrian. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Anthony Ferriell will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or Flushing Historical Society.
Lillian was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 18, 1927, the daughter of Angus and Mary Agnes (MacAuley) Smith. She spent much of her early years in Nova Scotia, Canada. Lillian was in Real Estate Sales for 20 years and was employed by Ace, Hicks and later, Blum Reality and Builders. Lillian enjoyed playing the lotto and listening to Rush Limbaugh. She loved crocheting and spent many years crocheting baby blankets to donate to area hospitals.
Lillian is survived by her children, David (Carol) Green, James Green, Lisa (Larry) Hanba; grandchildren, Andrea (Alan) Trowhill, Matthew (Erin) Green, Stephen (Leah) Green, Jason Green, Christopher (Suzanne) Hanba, Vanessa Hanba; and six great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Heartland-Fostrian and Heartland Hospice who made her last years special. |
