ALLEN, JAMES RONALD age 86, passed away peacefully at his hometown of Grand Blanc, MI, June 20, 2019 James was born August 1, 1932 in Flint to parents Elsworth and Millie (Smith) Allen. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Hill Funeral Home, 111723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Sarah LaRose Nettell officiating. Interment at Maple Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. before the service. James graduated from Grand Blanc High School and worked for his father Al Allen who owned Grand Blanc, Cleaners. He served in the U.S. Army in 1960. James sang in a Barber Shop Quartet, loved flying and built an air plane with his brother-in-law, Ed Keith, Gear Grinders Hotrods, snow skiing and photography. He was a Entrepreneur and had Certified Electric for many years until his retirement in 2015. Surviving are children Curtis Allen and Corinna Reed; grandchildren Derek, Danielle, Sara, Alicia, Travis; great-grandchildren Ellie and Evon. James was preceded in death by his parents; son Chris Allen; two brothers and a sister. The family would like to thank his caregivers for all the loving care.
