WILLIAM W. VANAMAN, age 76 of Otisville, died Friday October 12, 2012 at his residence with his family at his side. Funeral services will be 11AM Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 15, 2012 from 11AM-8PM at the funeral home. Bill was born on July 28, 1936 in Flint, the son of Ishmel and Ivaa (Ballard) Vanaman. He married Rose Smith on March 10, 1962 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Davison. Bill retired from AC in February of 1991, after 36 ½ years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and liked fishing, hunting, woodworking, oil painting, and playing a good game of cards. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving is his wife, Rose; three sons: William (Tina) Vanaman II, Robert and (Patty) Vanaman, and Norm Vanaman; and grandchildren: Amanda, Ashley, Josh and Emma. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean; and several nieces and nephews.
