THEODORE, Eli Carl- Age 88, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Fenton, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016. A celebration of life will be 11 AM Saturday, April 9 at St. John Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison. Fr. Robert Bacik celebrant. Visitation will be held 1-3 PM and 4:30-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. A rosary will be prayed 4:30 PM Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Jim Corder. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10 AM until the time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
Eli was born December 1, 1927 in L'Anse, the son of Andrew Theodore Tsaldaris and Albena (Touranjeau) Tsaldaris. Eli proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Eileen Valley on September 2, 1950 in Flint. He retired as a die maker from General Motors in 1988 after 41 years of service. Eli was a long time member of St. Leo the Great and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was very active with St. Vincent DePaul. Eli was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Eli is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Eileen Valley Theodore; children, Karen (Boyd) Marley, Kathryn (Barry) Brow, Douglas (Pam) Tsaldaris and Lisa (Wayne) Roedel; grandchildren, Tiffany (Mic) Brown, Jessica (Robert) Hetherton, Tatum (Joel) Theodore, Zachary (Michelle) Theodore, Andrew Marley, John Marley, Olivia Roedel, Emma Roedel and Grace Roedel; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Theodore; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Nicholas Theodore; sisters, Pearl Hooper, Betty Poirier, Louise Racine; nephews, Larry Getzen, Richard Hooper and Thomas Poirier.
