SPECKMAN, Sr. Pastor Timothy Rahe - Of Flint, age 63, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013, in Flint, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2051 West Maple Avenue, Flint, Michigan.
Pastor Paul Boerger and Pastor John Straub officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation is 3:00–5:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Additional visitation from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 until the time of the service at Lamb of God Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Theological Seminary, 6600 North Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825.
Timothy was born in Flint, Michigan on March 4, 1949. He worked at the telephone company for 30 years and then pursued his divinity degree at Concordia Theological Seminary; he worked as a pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church for 8 years. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, as well as a devoted pastor to his parishioners.
Surviving are: wife, Wendy;
children, Jennifer (and Dave) Prewitt and Timothy (and Kirsten) Speckman, Jr.;
sisters, Ellen Speckman-Randall and Diana (and Steve) Hagenau;
grandchildren, Christopher, Katherine, and Andrew;
and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
