NAU, Richard Elmer -- Age 84, of Flint, died June 17, 2015. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Friday, and from 11AM until the time of funeral service at 5 PM Saturday, June 20 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Mr. Nau was born March 29, 1931 the son of Elmer H. and Barbara R. (Bourrie) Nau in Cheboygan. He graduated from Cheyboygan High School, the class of 1965. He married Shirley (Johnsen) Wilt on October 11, 2002 in Davison. He retired General Motors with 31 years of service; the National Guard with 37 years of service.
Survived by: wife, Shirley, children; Richine (Hank) Helcher of Flint, Richard (Katheryn) Ranville of Traverse City, Dennis Nau, Joseph (Chris) Nau, Robin (Robert) Heid, Christopher (Jamie) Nau, all of Flint, Tammy Winters of TX, Peggy Nau of Mt. Morris, and Ronald (Diane) Sturgeon of Flint, 21 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, sisters; Peggy, Nancy and Joyce sister-in-law Sally; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: parents, 2 brothers; Keith and Clarence "Butch," infant sister Rosalee; wife Patsy Jean (Ranville) Nau; wife Elizabeth Marie (Ross) Nau; and daughter, Jeannie Hartzog.
