Smith, Wilma D. – age 96, passed away on May 2, 2018 in Flint, Michigan. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1pm with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5pm – 8pm at Hill Funeral Home. Wilma was born on August 19, 1921 in Oran, Missouri to the late Robert and Ada (Welch) Harris. Wilma graduated from Oran High School in 1938. In 1939, Wilma married the love of her life Alfred Smith in Oran, Missouri. Wilma loved to crochet afghans and make quilts. She loved children, she kindly opened her home to many foster children throughout the years. Wilma was a wonderful woman that will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children: Alpha (EG) Foster, Martha (Chuck) Nottingham, Robert (Mollie) Smith, Janie (Jerry) Mears, Patty (Mike) Biernatt, Annette (Tom) Ostrander; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Joe (Barb) Harris and Donald (Sharon) Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Smith; siblings: Mary Lee Sagody, Anna Mae Pabst, Bobby Harris, and Jimmy Harris.
