Phyllis Jean Johnson formerly of Flushing, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2018 in Payson, Arizona. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Sullivan will officiate. Visitation will start at noon preceding the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Phyllis was born in Flint, Michigan, September 6, 1940, the daughter of James and Grace Hook. She worked for many years as a waitress at Archie’s Restaurant in Davison. She then spent a number of years helping to care for her grandchildren.
Phyllis enjoyed sewing, and knitting. She loved visiting with friends and family, her pets, playing bingo, and Monopoly, shopping, and watching movies.
Phyllis is survived by her three children, sons, Albert Johnson of Flint, Scott and wife Jennifer Johnson of Flushing, and daughter Lisa Avramov of Payson Arizona; brother in law, James Prevo; 9 Grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Kathy Prevo.
