WANDRIE, Major Joseph Alfred - Of Flint, age 66, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Michelle Leppek officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Joseph was born in Flint on November 24, 1949, the son of the late Henry and Margarette Wandrie. On February 26, 1986, he married Tina North in Flint. He was the Deputy Director of Reserves with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department.
Surviving are wife, Tina;
children, Nichole and husband Steven St. Charles, Lisa Hart and Wendy Shaw;
special grandchildren, Atreyu and Anayah St. Charles;
grandchildren, Amber, Anthony, Autumn and Jeffery;
many grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
beloved siblings, James (Nancy) Wandrie and Carol (John) Wiley;
brothers, Henry, Darryl and Richard Wandrie.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Charlene Ellsworth.
