Willie J. North 83, of Wallins, KY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the home of his daughter. He was born January 22, 1935 in Middlefork, KY. Willie was a retired coal miner and was a member of the
Kentenia Full Gospel Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Bill North and Nettie Whitehead; the mothers of his children, Margaret North and Sternal Collett; his brothers, George North, John R. Collett and John Lee Collett; his sisters, Juanita Tippin, Annie Johnson, Carolyn Lewis, and Haley Hubbard.
Survivors include his children, Amber North, Margaret and husband, Donny Sowards, Christopher Lankford, Willie J. and wife, Tina North JR, Gary and wife, Sally North, Carry North and Betty Jean and husband, Earl Collett.
Thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His brother, Nathan Collett; his sisters, Evelyn Hensley, Betty Bays and Claudine Collett. The mother of his children, Zettie Swartstorm. His special friends, George Hoskins and Johnny Little and several other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 8th at 1-PM at the Kentenia Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Ed Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the Park-Howard Cemetery in Wallins, KY. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday after 5-PM at the Kentenia Full Gospel Church.
