JOUBRAN, Emil S. - Of Grand Blanc, age 66, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Brian's House of Davison. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011 at St. George Orthodox Church, 5191 Lennon Road, Flint, Father Joseph Abud officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at St. George Orthodox Church. A Trisagion Service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Visitation 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service. There will be no visitation at the Swartz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. George Orthodox Church. Emil was born in Jerusalem on February 11, 1945, the son of the late Said and Martha (Pano) Joubran.
On April 25, 1999 he married Najwa in Flint. He was a member of St. George Orthodox Church. He loved bowling, gardening, baking, entertaining and especially spending time with his family, friends and neighbors.
He was a wonderful loving and caring man. He was a generous person, making people feel welcome in his home. Mr. Joubran retired from GM.
Surviving are wife, Najwa; daughter, Natalie and husband Kevin Martin;
grandchildren, Emily and Allison Martin; step-daughter, Jennifer and husband Martin Khoshaba; brother, Gaby and Violet Joubran; sisters, Katy Holzel, Samira and Jim Simon, Salwa and Manuel Cantu; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
