Margaret A. Doyle age 86 of Lennon, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at her daughter's home in Owosso. Funeral Mass will be 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Durand. Rev. Fr. Jonathan Perrotta will be officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service also at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.
Margaret was born August 19, 1929 in Port Huron, a daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Burucs) Paradis. On September 15, 1951, she married Maitland Doyle. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2012. Margaret enjoyed watching tennis, reading, and creating oil paintings. She was a member of the Alter Society at St. Mary's, 3rd. Order Franciscan, volunteered on DVA for 10 years, taught religion class for over 40 years at St. Mary's od Durand and St. Paul's Catholic Church of Owosso for 40 years combined and prison ministry for 5 years.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Stephen (Robin) Doyle, Christopher (Susan) Doyle and Thomas (Nancy) Doyle; daughter, Kathleen (Fred) VanAlstine; daughter-in-law, Deborah Doyle; grandchildren, Stephen (Shannon) Doyle, Matthew (Amanda) Doyle, Jonathan (Holli) Doyle, Daniel Doyle, Rebecca (Corey) Sheehan, Hannah Doyle, Heather (Jeff) Dale, Elizabeth VanAlstine, David VanAlstine, Andrew VanAlstine, Mark VanAlstine, Christopher (Lauren) Pontoni, Greg (Jeanelle) Pontoni, Sean (Amanda) Doyle, Megan (Josh) Hausmann, Stephanie Curtis, Ashley Curtis and Tyler Curtis; great grandchildren, Maren, Kayla and Claire, Brady, Micah and Lucas, Jossie, Carter and Matthew, Rosella, Eloise, Juliun, Peyton and Vincent, Delia and Everly, Hailey, Zoey and Levi, Peyton and Layla and Hunter; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maitland; son, Tim; and both of her parents.
