Jennie Mae Clark, age 85, of Bancroft, passed away Friday, November 18th, 2011 at Memorial Healthcare Center. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 2 PM at Mowen Funeral Home - William A. Scarlett Memorial Chapel with Pastor Edward C. Schweikert officiating. Final rest will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will take place prior to the service from 12 PM to 2 PM at the funeral home.
Jennie was born in Flint, Michigan on September 12, 1926, the daughter of the late Melvin R. and Alma (Allen) Keck. Shortly after graduating from high school, she married Richard Clark on June 7, 1947 in Chapin; he preceded her in death in 1979. Mrs. Clark was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was member of the Order of Eastern Star - Huldah Chapter. She loved to fish and was a avid bowler, bowling until just a couple of years ago.
Those who cherish her memory include: sons, James (Joyce) Clark of Edmunds, Washington, Larry (Debbie) Clark of Chesaning and Melvin (Rebecca Napier) Clark of Bancroft; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, George Keck in 2001.
