BOWER, Harold E. – of Flint, age 93, went home to be with the Lord, February 20, 2015 at the Pines of Burton. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Ralph Pieper officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday and 10-11 AM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Medical Team – Hospice, 4400 S. Saginaw St., Suite 1300A, Flint, MI 48507.
Harold was born in Flint, MI on July 23, 1921, son of the late Ernest and Violet (Darling) Bower. After graduating from Flint Northern High School in 1941, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He retired from AC Spark Plug after 33 years of service.
Harold is survived by his daughter, Eloise (Mike) Heffernan of St. Louis, MO; son, Richard (Cheri) Bower of North Port, FL; brother, David (Beverly) Bower of Clio; grandchildren, Krista, Bill and Shane; great-grandson, Lucas. He also leaves dear friend and companion Muriel Lonsberry. Harold was preceded in death by his two wives, Olive (Benson) and Bernice (Crawford); sister, Eva O’Callahan.
