CONN, Garry – Of Burton, Michigan, age 58, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his residence.
Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Memorial visitation 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Garry was born in Flint, Michigan on February 14, 1955 the son of Glenn and the late Eleanor Hanson.
Upon graduating from Bentley High School in 1973, and winning the State Championship, Garry was in a limousine heading toward the Milwaukee Brewers Training Camp.
Garry was a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers.
He was a member of the Teamsters and was a Truck Driver for Oak Distributing.
Surviving are wife, Lisa Mancour;
daughters, Hollie (Frank) Murray
and Briana Conn;
son, Nick Conn of California;
step-children, Cory and Kyle
grandchildren, Josh, Caitlynn, Devin, Dylan and Aubrey;
father, Glenn F.;
aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by mother and brother, Glenn.
