VOLLMAR, William C. - Of Grand Blanc, age 84, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013.

Visitation will be 2-8pm Sunday December 29, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, where the funeral service will be held 11am Monday, December 30, 2013, Reverend Robert D. Wright officiating.

Burial in Crestwood Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of VFW Post #822 Honor Guard.

Those who desire may make contributions to the Court Street United Methodist Church.

William was born in Caro, MI on May 28, 1929 and was a resident of the Flint area since 1957. He married Marilyn J. Reavey on November 24, 1956. Bill proudly served in the United States Army in Korea from 1951-1953. He was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church. Bill and Marilyn owned and operated Vollmar Window and Door Company for 29 years. After he retired, he worked the next 18 years with his nephews, farming in Cass City.

Surviving are wife, Marilyn;

son, Todd and wife Kimberly;

granddaughter, Chloe;

siblings, Royal Vollmar of Unionville, David Vollmar of Caro, Alice Jones of Caro, Virginia Wilcher of Caro and Mary Jane West of Port Charlotte, FL.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Dwain Vollmar, Eileen Lockwood and Frederic Vollmar.
