Mr. Timothy Hayden was born October 21, 1947 in Flint, MI to Peter & Dora Hayden. He attended Flint Community Schools and retired from Buick, a Division of General Motors, UAW Local 599 after 35 years of service. Mr. Hayden accepted Jesus as his Lord and was baptized in 1981 at New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Fred White. His hobbies included listening to music, especially the Temptations (he thought he was one!), looking at antique automobiles, going to car shows to view the upcoming models, and traveling to Northern Michigan. He loved his family and attending family reunions until he was no longer able to due to his health.
Mr. Timothy Hayden leaves to cherish his memory 2 daughters, Africa Hayden of Flint and Frieda (Kim) Smith of Memphis, TN; mother of his children, Magnolia Hayden of Flint; 2 grandchildren, D’Atra & Deshondra Smith; great grandchild, Sariah Carroll, all of Memphis; mother, Dora Hayden; sisters, Betty (Pete) Morgan, Lula Hayden, Elizabeth Jackson, Melonie (John) Perkins; mother-in-law, Nannie Martin all of Flint; uncle, Leon (Mary) Duncan of Chicago, IL; special nephew, Dedric Jackson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; a host of other relatives and friends including Rev. Otis Jenkins, Paulette Gordon, and Arlene Hawkins.
Mr. Hayden was preceded in death by his father, Peter Hayden; sister, Susie Terrell; father-in-law, N.B. Martin; aunts, Jane Mathews, Cora Williams, Lillie Hampton, Tyree McGee; uncles, Rev. Atwood (Freddie) Duncan and Nathaniel Duncan.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Raffee, Dr. Rodé, in-home nurse Linda, hospice nurse Barb Kircher, Pastor Frederick L. & Mrs. Donna Flowers and the Promise Tabernacle Church family. |
