MACLIN, John Wayne Sr. – of Flint, age 69, died Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at his residence. Honoring John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contribution can be made to the family for future designation.
John was born January 1, 1955 in Etowah, Arkansas to the late Ollie and Linnie (Wilkins) Maclin. He grew up in Missouri and spent winters in Florida with his father. On March 6, 1976 he married Roxann Chapman in Flint, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 2021, John worked for Family Auto Sales in Flint, Michigan as a Mechanic with 45 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles with his boys, camping and grilling out with his family. John was an avid car guy and could wrench on any automobile. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Wife of 48 years, Roxann Maclin; Sons, Nicholas (Jackie) Maclin, Michael (Kelly) Maclin, John (Lesley) Maclin Jr., Dallas Maclin; 9 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings, Jimmy (Tina) Maclin, Helen Maclin, Dorothy Costello, Perry (LaFaye) Maclin, Diodata (Steve) Edwards, Anna Maclin, Robert (Connie) Maclin, Mary Maclin, Tina Maclin, Shannon Maclin; Brothers in law, Dale (Esther) Chapman, Russell (Debra) Chapman; Sisters in law, Sherrie Newman, Michelle (Jeff) Lindsey; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Father and Mother in law, Bruce (Margaret) Chapman; Special Nephews, Steve Jr. and Raymond Jr.; several brothers and sisters. |
