WEAVER, Virginia Mae - Age 83, of Flint, died Sunday, August 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek. Mr. Richard Hamilton officiating. Burial immediately following at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 5-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association. Mrs. Weaver was born June 5, 1930 in Stark City, MO, the daughter of Ernest Calvin and Lillie Mae (Doty) Dabbs. She married Lewis Stephen Weaver November 20, 1948 in Durand and he preceded her in death February 3, 2012. She retired in 1987 from Woolworth's Department Store after 13 years of service. She had resided in Flint since 1948. Mrs. Weaver was a member of First Church of Brethren in Flint. Surviving are: daughter, Victoria M. Beckwith and husband Lewis of Bel Air, MD; son, Mark S. Weaver and wife Carolyn of Lennon; 4 grandchildren, Laura (Shawn) Sturgill, Angela Ludwig, Kathryn Weaver, and Erin Weaver; 2 great grandchildren, Mallory Ludwig and Dylan Sturgill; brother, Dale Dabbs and wife Roxanne of Missouri; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Ruth Elliott, Bessie Winegardner, and Mary Schofield; and 2 brothers, Eugene and Jack Dabbs.
