LINK, William – of Genesee Twp., age 71, passed away May 23, 2015 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Pete Scribner officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church.
William was born in Flint, MI on February 1, 1944, son of the late Milton and Elizabeth Link. William graduated from Flint Central in 1962. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. William married Frances Collier on May 5, 2002. He retired from Buick after 34 years of service and belonged to UAW Local #599. William was a church historian and enjoyed studying the Bible. William also enjoyed golfing. He was the #1 University of Michigan fan. William was a devout Christian and was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, where he proudly served as Deacon. He also belonged to Cornerstone Community Church in Arizona. William was worship leader at Rock Shadows RV Resort, where he led Bible study. He was also a lifetime member of Family Campers and RVers NCHA and current president of Still-A-Goin Retiree Chapter.
William is survived by wife, Frances; sons, Jonathan Link, Dave (Dianne) Callahan, Timothy (Rachel) Callahan; daughter-in-law, Brandy Callahan; many grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Brigham (Bonnie) Link; sister, Cheryl (Don) Graves. He was preceded in death by brother, Bruce Link; son, Tony Callahan.
