ROOT, Wanda J. - Of Burton, age 79, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family.
A Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Visitation 5-8p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Wanda was born in Lelia Lake, TX on July 13, 1932, daughter of the late Walter and Geneva (Whatley) Ginn.
Surviving are children, Deborah and husband Jimmy Steelman, Ernest (Bud) and wife Kathy Root;
grandchildren, Jeremy Steelman, Jodi White and Jenny Steelman;
great-grandsons, Kyle and Aaron White;
brothers, James and wife Ellen Ginn, Jack and wife Terry Ginn, John and wife Barbara Ginn;
sisters, Vera Howard, Ruby and husband Charlie Watkins and Mary Lea Ginn;
many nieces and nephews.
