DUNKERSON, Ronald Dale – Of Mt. Morris, age 58, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Ronald was born in Flint, MI on July 16, 1955 to Doris and Chester Dunkerson. He graduated from Ainsworth High School, Class of 1974, where he was active in diving and track and field. He worked for General Motors in Grand Blanc and retired after 27 years of service. During those years, he married Pamela Wallace and together they raised their two sons, Aaron and Jacob. He was considered an all-around outdoorsman and lived a very active lifestyle. Ronald’s true life passions were fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed a little friendly competition, especially in horse shoes.
Ronald will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and wisdom. He lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, including: Fiancé, Tamela Tarrence; sons, Aaron and Jacob; parents, Doris and Chester; siblings, Dennis (Carol), Deborah Dunkerson, Scott (Kathy), and Carla (Jim) Vick; and, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
All commemorations will be held at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Rd. Flint, MI 48507 on Saturday, October 12, 2013 -Visitation will be held 12noon until the time of the funeral service at 3:30pm led by Clergyman, John Henson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed the American Cancer Society/Pancreatic Cancer Research.
