ELLIOTT, Allen Walter - 67, of Gaines, MI, died Monday, June 11, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 15, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Fr. Robert McKeon officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Hospice or Flint Aero R/C Club AMA Charter #350. Allen was born January 26, 1945 in Flint, MI, the son of Lloyd and Lucille (Horton) Elliott. He married Patricia Ann West-Mack October 7, 1989 in Mt. Morris, MI. He retired in 2000 from GM Chevrolet Metal Fab. as a Diemaker after 36 years of service. Allen was a member of the U.A.W. Local 659, the Flint Aero R/C Club AMA Charter #350 and was a life long NRA member. He was an avid model airplane builder and flyer. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Surviving are: wife, Patricia; 5 children, Michael Elliott, David Elliott, Gennelle Mack, Theresa Mack (Chuck Boggess) and Georgann Mack (Joel McRee); 5 grandchildren, Angelica Wright, Hiedi Kozlowski (John), Jonathon Elliott, Jordan Martin (Cody) and Maegan McGlothren; great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Jason II, Jacob, David, Destiny, Tessa and Falon; brother, Ray Elliott (Sue); sister, Barbara Wentz (Greg); niece, Tracy Elliott; nephew, Grant Elliott; great niece and nephews, Stephanie, Aiden and Keith; special friends, Peggy and Richard Bell, mother of Al's sons David and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents and great granddaughter, Laela Grace. The family wishes to extend special thanks to McLaren Hospice.
