PENDER, Edith "Cheryl" - Age 66, of Fenton, lost her courageous battle with cancer Sunday, April 14, 2013. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Bobby Pender officiating. Burial in Great Lake Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Cheryl was born March 11, 1947 in Phelps, KY, the daughter of William Homer and Sadie Marie (Herald) McCoy. She was a 1965 graduate of Fenton High School. She married Terry Ronald Pender June 19, 1966 in Fenton. Cheryl was an Amateur Ham Radio Operator, call sign KC8LZM. She also loved woodworking, making furniture and doll house furniture for her grandchildren. Surviving are: husband, Terry; 4 children, Sherry and husband Chris Cubr of Fenton, Deborah Wood of Fenton, Jeff and wife Amy Pender of Columbiaville, and Steven and wife Angie Pender of Fenton; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Eldridge of Georgia and LaVaughn McCoy of Linden; brothers, Bill and wife Virginia McCoy of West Virginia, Reese and wife Kathy McCoy of Mt. Morris, and Danny McCoy of Flint; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lena Robinson.
