AIDIF, Bernadine J. – of Flint, age 85, died Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 14, 2017, at West Vienna United Methodist Church in Clio. Pastor Billie Lou Gillespie officiating.Burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home on Sunday from 12-9 PM and at the church on Monday from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Vienna United Methodist Church – Trustee Account.
Bernadine was born October 24, 1931, in Clio, Michigan to the late Charles and Nancy (McKay) Kneeshaw. She graduated from Clio High School in 1950 and then resided in Flint the remainder of her life. Bernadine married James Aidif on January 21, 1950. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2013. She was employed as the Food Services Director for the Westwood Heights School District for 24 years, retiring in 2001. She was a very active member of the West Vienna United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Board of Trustees. She was also active with the church’s lay ministry. She was also a former member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Flint. Bernadine was also a member of the Leo Crow VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a volunteer at several soup kitchens.
Surviving are: Children: Bob (Donna) Aidif of Fostoria, Janet (Mike) Gerwolds of Columbiaville, Joe (Gale) Aidif of Flint, and Rick (Marilyn) Aidif of Mt. Morris. 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren; Sister, Doris (Leonard) Carpenter of Otisville; Brother in law, Tom Aidif of Highland, Virgina; Sister in law, Donna Aidif of Fenton; Bernadine was also preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Foster, sister in law, Lila Aidif, and brother in law, Joseph Aidif.
