YARBROUGH, Jerry “Mouse” – Of Flint, age 68, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held from 12-7 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Cremains will be interred at Evergreen Cemetery.
Jerry was born in Noxapater, Mississippi on July 15, 1944,
son of the late Robert Cecil and Hilda Leeon (Sanders) Yarbrough and was a resident of Flint.
Mouse graduated from Southwestern High School in 1963.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was a member of the Greater Flint Sports Hall of Fame. Mouse was Flint Junior College Baseball MVP and he was a Michigan Junior College Batting Champion.
Mouse loved fishing, music, sports, flowers, gardening and his family. He was a huge Michigan State fan. He was a wonderful cook and hosted great 4th of July and Kentucky Derby parties.
Mouse was employed by GM SPO as a forklift driver, retiring after 30 plus years.
He was a brother like no other.
He leaves his loving family to cherish his legacy, sisters and brothers, Bobbie (Bob) Dunn,
Lafayette (Vada),
Wayne (Carol),
Marzine (Louise),
LaVada (Charles) Kehnast,
Kirby (Darlene) and
Larry (Debbie);
many nieces, nephews and many wonderful caring friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; best friends, Emery and "The Mex".
