JOLLY, Dorothy F. “Dot” – Of Mt. Morris, formerly of Flint, age 94, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Birchwood Meadows, with her family by her side.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jim Salo officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
A Memorial Service will be conducted by VFW Post #822 Auxiliary at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born in Ada, Minnesota on May 16, 1918, the daughter of Alfred and Flora Lindow and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life, before moving to Lewiston in 1980. She married James Jolly on September 12, 1942.
Surviving are 4 children, Marcia and husband Clifford Hokanson of Flint,
Cheryl and husband Paul Crawford of Brooksville, Florida,
Deborah and husband Allen Welther of Sebewaing,
Gregory Jolly of Lewisburg, Tennessee;
daughter-in-law, Debra Jolly of Mt. Morris,
18 grandchildren;
16 great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert, in 1999; son, Jeffrey, in 2007; daughter-in-law, Neta, in 2009; great-grandson, Jakob Norcross, in 2007 sister, Mildred and Bernard Vejnovich and her parents.
