FOURNIER, Patrick – of Davison, age 61, passed away May 1, 2016 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center in Saginaw. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Thursday, May 5, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of Mass on Thursday at church. Following the Mass, a Memorial Service will be held under the auspices of Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council #4090 and Fourth Degree Assembly #0523 of Davison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Patrick was born in Flint, MI on August 26, 1954, son of the late Francis and Thelma (McNenly) Fournier. Patrick was a graduate of Holy Rosary Catholic School, where he was a lineman for the football team and played on the basketball team. He married Marcia (Ostrander) Crawford on September 12, 1986. Patrick was a third generation GM worker, retired on May 1, 2004 after 30 years of service, and was a proud UAW committee member. Patrick was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knight of Columbus. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, working in the yard and around the house. Patrick collected stamps, coins and built military ship models. A fan of sports but especially the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians. Patrick was an awesome provider and absolutely adored his family.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Marcia; children, Ryan (Virginia Holvick) Fournier, Tracy (Nathan Roeser) Fournier and Eric (Alicia Smith) Crawford; grandchildren, Olivia, Jacob and soon to arrive grandson, Brady; brother, Michael (Mary) Fournier; sisters, Mary (Timothy) Caughlin and Colleen (Ron) Whitman; nieces and nephews, Angela, Jennifer, Rebecca, Joe, John, Jason, Krista, Sean, Beth, Jamie and David; favorite four-legged friend, Teddy Bear; step-mother, Barb Fournier; in-laws, Jim and Dorothy Ostrander; sister-in-law, Nancy (Ron) Neff; many more extended family members. He was preceded in death by step-son, Matthew Crawford in 2010.
