Bearup, Lawrence (Larry) of Flint lost his battle with cancer on November 30th, 2015 at age 65, at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. He was born March 23, 1950, in Petoskey, Michigan to Lawrence L. Bearup and Marceline (Sevener) Bearup. Both his parents, brother in law Bill Russell, and special friend Tom Berry, proceeded him in death. Larry is survived by Daughter Lisa Salsini, Lawrence (Doug) Bearup, and Jeromy Bearup. Also survived by siblings: Carla Russell, George Bearup and wife Annie, Fred Bearup. Grandchildren: Lauren Bearup , Austin Heit , Logan Bearup , Taylor Weissend and Trevor Mattis. Great Grandchildren: Zoe Weissend and Tuesday Moon Weissend. Larry also leaves many nieces and friends Cindy Konkle and Doug (Maddog) Mack. Larry was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors, a talented mechanic and artistic painter passionate about rebuilding and painting Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Many awards for his paint work on a race H.D. he and his sons built, setting 20 National records for Drag racing the 1/4 mile and 1/8 mile, with I.D.B.A., and Dragbike! . Also racing A.M.D.A. circuit. One Drag bike Larry painted was featured, and made the cover of Harley Women Magazine. Also featured in Hotbike! Magazine, Easyrider magazine and made the cover of Riveria Engineering Parts catalog. SPECIAL THANKS to Mary Moritz, Ted Nagey, Tess. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 9th, 2015, 1:00pm., at First United Methodist Church in Mt.Morris, 808 E. Mt. Morris St. (Across from Meritt Bank, on the corner.) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Hospice House of Shiawassee County ,2005 E. Copas Rd.
