Shawn was born in Goodrich on June 8, 1947, the daughter of Edward and Sylvia (Pifer) Bohlen.

On June 15, 2002 she married Neal Fatheree in Grand Blanc.

Shawn had a very kind heart and was a generous person. She was loved by all!

Shawn loved her faith, and providing many hours of volunteer work including CHRP, Religious Ed., Vacation Bible School and many others.
She enjoyed reading the Bible and other Catholic books in the evening.

She helped lead her husband, Neal back to the faith, for which he has unexplainable gratitude.

Shawn loved creating things and fixing things when they were broken. Many times she took the phone out of Neal’s hands (as he was going to call a repair person) and said that SHE would fix it. One of her favorite activities was sewing, and for many years she made the Baptismal cloths used at Holy Family. She could make or fix anything!

Shawn rose to the challenge of being a mother, and was gracious and giving of her time to her children, and all members of her extended family who needed help.

To Shawn there were no such things as strangers, only friends she hadn’t met yet.

I don’t think Shawn ever said anything negative about anyone, but reconciliation is a private matter.

About a year ago, a Catholic writer (Fr. Ron Rolheiser) wrote a piece about living a life such that at the moment when God calls for you, you must be prepared. He called it “standing in the right place at all times”. She always lived her life standing in the right place.

Shawn worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Hurley Medical Center and McLaren-Flint. She was loved by her patients and co-workers.
