Olney , Barbara Ann - Age 82, of Flushing, died July 8, 2020. A memorial service will be announced later. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
Barbara was born November 29, 1937 in San Francisco, CA, the daughter of Odis and Anna (Bulno) Sullivan. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School and had resided in the Flint area since 1954.
Barbara worked for Chase Bank (Genesee Bank) retiring in 2004 with 33 years of service.
Barb loved music of all kinds. She was a proud member of the Flint Central High School A Capella choir, her beautiful soprano voice could be heard in the St Paul Lutheran church choir, and was a member of the handbell choir. She was a talented pianist. She attended St Paul Lutheran church for many years, and later joined United in Christ in Swartz Creek. She was a volunteer with Hospice, a lover of animals, and enjoyed nature. Barbara had a wonderful sense of humor. She was loved by many, and people were drawn to her. Her smile would brighten up any room.
Surviving are: two daughters Deanna M. Frye (Marvin Gene Frye II), Brigit V. Howe of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Jenna Marie Sholly (Paul Sholly), G.J. Frye, Brady Howe; dear friend of 56 years Nancy Finkbeiner. She was preceded in death by her parents.
