Rosemary Jane (Blackburn) Hutchinson of Durand, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 peacefully at home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel with Pastor John Walworth Officiating. Her Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 – 7:00 pm and again Monday one hour prior to the service.
Rosemary was born October 16, 1952 in Durand to Donald & Ellamae (Parks) Blackburn. She is survived by her husband Arthur Hutchinson of 41 years of Durand, Children Nicholas Hutchinson of Byron, Erin (Scott) Jones of Durand and two grandchildren Drew and Allie Jones.
She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Bethany Everhart of Fenton, Tom and Irene Blackburn of McKinleyville, CA, Sue Hale of Durand, Michael & Eileen Blackburn of Portland, OR, Christine Maier of Durand, Brian and Cindy Blackburn of Durand, Jim & Claudia Berry of Everett, WA, Mark and Peggy Blackburn of Durand.
Other close surviving relatives include several sisters and brothers-in-law, including: Jan Hutchinson of Topinabee, MI, Audrey Hutchinson, Toledo, OH, Herb Hutchinson of Indian River, MI, Bob and Nicki Townsend of Gaines, MI, Joe and Paula Hutchinson of Durand, Ross and Valerie Bassett of Topinabee, MI, Tom and Debbie Hutchinson of Indian River, MI, Raymond and Dawn Hutchinson of Owosso, MI and Mary Sereseroz of North Zulch, TX and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law James and Valerie Hutchinson, brothers-in-law Larry Hale, Robert Maier, James Hutchinson, Walt Hutchinson and nephew Zachari Blackburn.
Rosemary was a 1970 graduate of Byron High School and has lived in the Durand area her entire life. She loved her home, flower gardens, bird watching, studying local history and family genealogy. She devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and beloved Annie. She was a peaceful, caring and loving person.
