DEMARIA, Gerald Emil – of Davison, age 64, passed away July 17, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 2 PM Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Robert C. Bacik officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Saturday and 12 PM until time of service on Sunday. A Memorial Service under the auspices of the Welfare Masonic Lodge # 517 will be held at 5 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jerry was born in Flint, MI on November 11, 1952, to August and Esther DeMaria. He attended Carman-Ainsworth High School. Jerry worked at Buick as a Pipefitter and a committeeman. He was a member of Local 599 for many years. Jerry married Lisa Ann Freeman in 1984. Lisa DeMaria also died from injuries sustained in the same accident. Jerry was an avid hunter, loved to sing karaoke and loved to ride his Harley Davidson. Jerry and Lisa enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida and enjoying their grandkids.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Mariea (Richard) Clapper; grandchildren, Zoya Clapper, Noah Clapper, Riley Clapper, Emree Rose, Connor Rose, Emily Rose, and Dylan Rose; brothers, Donald (Diane) DeMaria and William (Charlene) DeMaria; sisters-in-law, Linda (Gene) Hollenbeck, Laura (Matt) Topham; brothers-in-law, Larry (Renee) Freeman and Justin (Kathy) Freeman.
