Ruth Elizabeth Ferrigan, age 88 of Flushing, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019. She was born on November 6, 1931 in Flint to parents William and Minnie (Cook) Keely. Ruth enjoyed sewing, Swedish weaving, making porcelain dolls, and doing puzzles. Most of all, she loved babysitting her grandchildren. She was a member of West Vienna United Methodist Church and the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. Ruth is survived by her husband of 70 years, Orval Ferrigan; children: Terry Ferrigan, Patricia (Larry) Polacek, Luann (Patrick) McLeod, and Lori (Tom) Cornelison; grandchildren: Eric, Heather, Melissa, Nicholas, Stephen, Sharnah, Lindsay, Kelsey, Kyle, Rusty, Ericka, Ellyn, Ainsley, Ashley, and Alaina; 19 great grandchildren; siblings: Edna Fowler and Gerry (Linda) Keely; brother-in-law, Larry (Lucille) Ferrigan; sister-in-law, Kay (Ronald) Charbonneau; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; siblings: James Keely, Tuck Keely, George Keely, John Keely, and Leota Gagner. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at West Vienna United Methodist Church, 5485 W. Wilson Rd., Clio. Pastor Billie Lou Gillespe officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 2-8pm at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, and again on Thursday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12pm at church. Interment at Flint Memorial Park.
