BOEGNER, Joseph John – of Flint, age 84, passed away November 13, 2014 at home. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Gary L. Beck officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11AM-8 PM Monday, 12 PM Tuesday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind.
Joseph was born in Flint, MI on March 7, 1930, son of the late Carl and Gertrude (Eckley) Boegner. He married Barbara Shoemaker on October 9, 1954 and they were married almost 57 years before her death on July 30, 2011. Joseph was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and an active member of the East Flint Lions Club. He retired from IMA Vending where he was a supervisor.
Joseph is survived by his children, Beverly Price, Joseph (Katherine) Boegner; grandchildren, Symone, Kailey, Johnathan, Peyton, Nevaeh, Joseph, Nicole; great-grandchild, Aubrey; siblings, Elsie, Norm (Clare), Evelyn, Janet (Benny), Eugene (Vivian); sisters-in-law, Bev and Dorothy; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Wayne (Deanna), Earnest, Alberta; brother-in-law, James.
