LeGAULT, Sidney – of Flint, age 83, passed away February 19, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. George Puthenpeedika celebrant. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 1:30 PM Monday. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Friday. On Saturday, visitation will be at the church from 12:30 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Sidney was born in Flint, MI on May 12, 1930, daughter of the late Arthur and Bernice (Barkham) Howchin. She married Donald LeGault on September 14, 1957 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Sidney was a loving wife, mom and nana. She was an active member at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Ladies Boosters and helping with funeral luncheons. Sidney loved spending time with her family and friends at the cottage on Sage Lake. She always looked forward to lunch with her friends on Thursday. Sidney enjoyed gardening, swimming and reading.
Sidney is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Mark of Flint, MI, Matthew (Denise) of Howell, MI, Patrick (Terisa) of Glen Allen, VA; granddaughters, Taylor, Alyssa, Ava and Brooke. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Howchin.
