MILLER, Joyce M. – of Davison, age 89, passed away November 17, 2015 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Friday, November 20, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Jack Dowden officiating. Entombment will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday and 11 AM until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Gentiva Hospice.
Joyce was born in Alexandria, MN on February 25, 1926, daughter of the late Roy and Anna (Eastland) Forsgren. She married James H. Miller on February 23, 1946 and he preceded her in death on September 11, 2009. Joyce was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, serving as a deaconess and nursery worker. She enjoyed baking cakes, watching the Detroit Tigers and spending time with her children and grandchildren camping.
Joyce is survived by her children, James M. (Rennell) Miller, Patrick R. (Diana) Miller, Mark A. Miller, Daniel J. (Peg) Miller; grandchildren, Melody (Brian) McFall, Kim (Bill) Dowd, Adam Miller, Brandon (Sarah) Miller; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Betty Ehn of Longmont, CO. She was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Mondeau; brother, Alan Forsgren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care of Joyce.
