Michael P. Forman, age 80 of Indiana, formerly of Durand, went to rest in the beloved arms of our Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. Pastor David Boillat will be officiating with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 p.m.
Michael was born on May 13, 1931 in Durand. He served 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, being honorably discharged in 1955. Michael worked for General Motors at the Fisher Body Plant in Grand Blanc, retiring after over 30 years of service.
He married Helen Hardy in 1967 in Angola, Indiana. Helen passed in 1999.
Michael is survived by his children: Kazumi (Ichiro) Akimoto of Japan, Kari (Rick) Sexton of Indiana, Scott Forman of Owosso; step-children: Bill (Jewel) Stayt of Tennessee and Bonnie (Gordon) Fee of Byron; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, both parents and his siblings.
