Joyce Dolores Woodfield of Davison, age 86, died Thursday August 8, 2024 in Winter Haven, Florida.
Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday August 21, 2024 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, with Rev. Allen Sudmann officiating. Family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm Wednesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Joyce’s memory to the Alzheimer Foundation or the Dementia Society of America.
Joyce was born in Detroit Michigan on February 26, 1938 the daughter of the late Henry and Delores (Aubert) Cockerill and has resided in Davison since 1968. Joyce was joined in marriage to Richard “Woody” Woodfield on July 14, 1956. She enjoyed the game of golf for many years. Joyce loved to cook, and was an avid baker, making numerous baked goods that the community could obtain at Woody’s Produce. Joyce’s greatest love and passion was her family that has surrounded her through life. She had strong Christian beliefs and was a member of Davison Missionary Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of sixty-eight years Richard “Woody”. She also leaves her loving daughters, Karen and husband Tom Morey, Cathy Haines, and Diane and husband Red Anderson, and her eight grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. Also surviving is sister Carolyn and husband Mike Bieganski, brother Richard Cockerill, and a host of extended family and friends. Joyce is preceded in death by son Mark Woodfield in 2024 and brothers: Bill Cockerill, Hank Cockerill, and Ralph Cockerill. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net |
