Novess, Mary Catherine “Kate”, of Flushing, age 89, died Thursday, November 12, 2015, in Flushing. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Trinity Baptist Church, Flushing. Pastor Leonard Saunders will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund.
Mary was born in Bay City, Michigan on November 12, 1927, the daughter of Archie and Mary (Irving) Kerr. She was married to William H. Novess in Bay City on June 7, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1999. Mary was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her children, David (Amy) Novess of Milan, Deborah (Howard) Tisdale of Corunna, Timothy Novess of Flushing, Rebecca (Dennis) Alexander of Flushing, Kevin (Sue) Novess of Clarkston, Jeffrey (Colleen) Novess of Montrose; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-granchildren; sister, Annie (Glenn) Silverthorn of Essexville; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kerr of Greenbush; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Bill Kerr, John Kerr; and granddaughter, Dawn Novess. |
