SWEERS-MIKELS, Christine Kae. – of Flint, and Mt. Morris, age 48, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint of a rare form of cancer. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3PM on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at The Black Horse Tavern, 12598 N. Saginaw Rd. in Clio.
Christine was born January 30, 1969 in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Elizabeth Ann Johnson High School in 1988. Christine enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies and porcelain dolls. She also enjoyed football, and attending car shows – especially Back to the Bricks. Christine loved spending time with her family, and babysitting her niece, Mae Mae.
Surviving are: Daughter, Tasha (James) Kamp of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; Husband, Danny Mikels of Flint; Grandchildren: Ethan, Emma, James, Emily, and Joslyn; Mother, Karen Weaver of Clio; Biological father, John Talley of Otisville; Adopted father, Dave Sweers of Flint; Sister, Tami Sweers of Mt. Morris; Grandfather, Robert (Mary) O'Toole; Aunts: Donna (John) Mantei, Carol (Rick) Sekrenes, and Cheryl (Dave) Szecsodi; Nephew, Ricky Block (Fiancée Kailyn); Great niece, Addison Block; and the Mikels family; many other loving family members and friends. Christine was preceded in death by her daughter, Savannah Mikels; Grandmother, Ilah O'Toole, and her great grandparents.
